About SH4 Tools

SH4 Tools is an unofficial fan-made site of tools and guides for Stronghold 4, the castle-building real-time strategy game developed and published by Firefly Studios, in English and German. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Firefly Studios. Stronghold is a trademark of Firefly Studios; we use the name only to say which game the site is about. We sell nothing.
The goal: quick, accurate answers to the questions players actually ask, starting with when the game unlocks, what is in the demo and Early Access and whether your PC runs it, and after launch, the CPU lords, buildings, units and economy, checked in the game itself.
Where the information comes from
Before launch, everything here comes from the official Stronghold 4 website, the Steam store page , Firefly's announcements and support pages, and the free demo, written in our own words. After launch, details from play such as building costs and unit stats go on the site only once two separate games agree; anything we could not confirm yet is marked as not confirmed, and never used in a tool.
Leaks and rumors are never published. When official posts disagree with each other, we show both and say so.
Every tool and guide shows when it was last updated and which game version it matches, and links the official pages it is based on.
The pictures
The game pictures are official Stronghold 4 screenshots from the Steam store page and Firefly's press kit. We only cropped them, cutting off the game interface where it showed, without changing or adding anything. Each picture carries our web address in a corner. We take any picture down at once if the owners ask.
