Is Stronghold 4 on PS5 or Xbox? No: the only confirmed platform is Windows PC on Steam, from December 7, 2026. Here is what Firefly says, platform by platform.

Stronghold 4 on PC

Stronghold 4 is a Windows game on Steam. It needs a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 PC with 16 GB of RAM and at least a GTX 1060; our Stronghold 4 spec checker compares your PC with the official numbers. The free demo runs on the same platform.

PS5 and Xbox

Firefly has not announced a console version. Its store page, its press kit and its support page about the release all name Steam only. Stronghold is a PC series built around mouse control, and Steam lists a mouse-only option for Stronghold 4. If a console version is announced, we add it here the same day.

Mac and Linux

There is no macOS or Linux version on Steam. Firefly's support page goes further: no time has been set aside to make the game run on any other platform, and running it through Parallels, Wine or a virtual machine is not supported. Firefly may look at compatibility during Early Access, but says it is not a priority.

Steam Deck

The Steam Deck runs Linux with a compatibility layer, so it falls under the same caution: no Deck rating yet, and no word from Firefly. We will update this once Valve tests the game.

Is Stronghold 4 on PS5?

No PlayStation 5 version has been announced. The Steam store page, the press kit and Firefly’s support pages list Steam on PC only.

Is Stronghold 4 coming to Xbox or Game Pass?

Not announced. Firefly has said nothing about an Xbox, Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass release.

Can I play Stronghold 4 on a Mac?

Not officially. Firefly says the demo is built for Windows and that it does not support macOS, virtual machines or translation layers such as Parallels or Wine.

Will Stronghold 4 run on Steam Deck?

Unknown. The game has no Steam Deck rating yet, and Firefly has not said anything about the Deck.

Is Stronghold 4 a PC exclusive?

For now, yes: Windows PC on Steam is the only platform announced for the December 7, 2026 Early Access launch.
